MEET MARA
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a vibrant cosmopolitan city, MARA SCALISE was inspired from early on by her mother’s eclectic style. Taking her vintage pieces and altering and amending, a seed was planted and Mara's signature style began to develop.
While working with clothes in Argentina, she desired to leave Buenos Aires and moved to New York City where she gained extensive knowledge working in the fashion industry. During these years, Mara explored a spiritual path and became a Reiki master. Working on healing cancer patients, yoga teachers, and celebrities, she combine her 2 passions. Creativity and spirituality.
In 2008, Mara became fascinated by alchemy and the healing power of metals and Mara-mcs was born with the intent to produce more than just beautiful jewelry but jewelry infused with reiki energy with the intention of protection and self empowerment.
Mara's pieces reflect the girl herself: Pure and strong, subtle and stylish A shaman rock star. Each piece is designed as something she'd wear. A little bit punk a little bit purist, Mara’s jewelry crosses all kinds of boundaries and works to enhance any look from jeans and tees to red carpet fashion.The Mara collection includes jewelry, handbags, wallets, belts and home goods all hand made in Los Angeles where she lives with her husband and 2 children.
